Come for the Views…Stay for the Views

There’s a view of just about every corner of the valley from this Ojai estate straddling a hilltop beneath the mountains. Built in 1977, the home sits perched above the neighborhood at the end of a long driveway after winding its way past dozens of fruit trees and flower bushes. Once on top of the hill, the views speak louder than words. Looking to the east, orchards and farms stretch toward the mountains while the tops of buildings downtown can be seen poking through the trees to the south.
The Topa Topa mountains seem like a stone’s throw from the patios and walkways of the almost 20 acre property. Here, as seen from one of several gardens, the familiar landmark is dusted with snow after a January storm. The incredible vistas stretch around the home whether from the pool (bottom left) or the yard looking southwest taking in a sunset.
The views aren’t any less prevalent from the home’s interior. The chef’s kitchen has just about everything even the most seasoned Cordon Blu graduate might need while single pane windows look out across the valley. The master bedroom and bathroom both have their own fireplaces with the bedroom’s double doors opening to the patio and, of course, the views beyond.
